SAINT ANTHONY GOLD MEDAL

18K yellow gold Saint Anthony of Padua medal. The miracle of vision is represented on the medal. He was a religious who lived around 1200. During one of his travels he met St. Francis of Assisi and was sent by him to France to oppose the birth of a heretical movement. Upon returning to Italy he chose the convent of Padua as his residence. He was canonized shortly after his death for the large amount of miracles attributed to him. He is patron Portugal, Brazil and the Custody of the Holy Land.
